Bentonite
A type of clay material, formed due to the weathering of volcanic ash, and is mined from the quarry and crushed into fine powder.
A highly water-absorbent, viscous clay that is essentially and widely used in civil engineering, binding, sealing, absorbing, lubricating agents, waste-water treatment, agriculture, and in a huge variety of industries.
It swells considerably, nearly 8 times its volume after absorbing water.

Types
- Sodium Bentonite
- Calcium Bentonite
- Potassium Bentonite
Characteristics
- superb moisture absorption
- environmentally friendly
- strong odour elimination
- non-flammable
- lightweight
- nontoxic
Construction Grade Bentonite

Sodium Bentonite, with its thixotropic nature, is heavily and reliably applied in:
- drilling
- tunneling
- pipe-jacking
- pile foundation
- diaphragm walling
- soil stabilisation works

Advantages
can be applied to most kinds of soil surfaces
very easy to mix to achieve maximum viscosity during preparation
prevents the collapse of the soil by forming a barrier coat over the exposed pile foundation surface and advancing work progress significantly and economically
Reduces the volume of extra concrete to fill the unnecessary cavities formed due to the fall of soil
helps maintain the quality of concrete in the pile foundation by preventing the soil particles from getting mixed with the poured concrete, resulting in a lower grade of concrete
acts as a lubricant material for the pile driving equipment and hammers effectively reducing the boring friction
Well Drilling Grade Bentonite

Bentonite clay is the most common and major component of drilling mud, particularly used under ever-challenging environments of oil or gas wells.
Functions
a) As Drilling and Tunneling Fluids
lubricates and cools cutting tools
removes cuttings to the top of the wells
helps prevent blowouts
b) As Slurry
brings stability to the boring soil surface
prevents the collapse of the soil in the pile bore
c) As Drilling Mud
curtails drilling fluid invasion in the formation of mud cakes
Cat Litter Bentonite

Bentonite is an ideal base for clumping cat litter due to its high moisture and liquid (urine) absorption capability.
When in contact with liquids, bentonite absorbs 3.5 times its own weight, causing cat litter to form clumps that can be easily scooped up.
Characteristics
- fast clumping
- easy scooping
- odor control
- dust free
- low tracking
- no harm to cats' respiratory and digestive system
Polymer Clay

Polymer clay is an ideal tool for developing creative minds.
It is a type of hardenable modelling clay, generally used for making arts, crafts, and decorative parts.

Types
Oven Hardening Clay
Polymer clay remains workable until cured.
Curing occurs when crafted clay is heated with a household microwave or oven at temperatures from 265 °F (129 °C) to 275 °F (135 °C) sustained for 15 minutes per 1⁄4 inch (6.4 mm) of thickness.
